What happens when you get a second chance to live your peak? In the uproarious comedy Senior Year, Rebel Wilson stars as Stephanie Conway, a high school cheerleading captain who, after a prom night accident, awakens from a 20-year coma. Determined to reclaim the glory days she feels were stolen from her, the now 37-year-old Stephanie enrolls back in high school to finish her senior year and become prom queen. She quickly discovers the social landscape has drastically changed, and her old friends, including the now-successful Mary Holland and the charming Sam Richardson, have moved on with their adult lives. Directed by Alex Hardcastle, the film hilariously pits Stephanie’s relentless, outdated 90s enthusiasm against the bewildered student body, including the popular teen Angourie Rice, as she navigates viral trends, new social rules, and the poignant realization that the person she was might not be the person she wants to become. This R-rated laugh riot explores the universal yearning for a do-over with heart and outrageous humor, asking if you can ever truly go home again.
