In this taut psychological thriller, a seemingly simple act of kindness spirals into a nightmare when a woman lets a stranger use her phone. Taraji P. Henson stars as Terri, a former prosecutor and devoted mother who is home alone with her two young children while her husband is away on business. When a handsome and charming man named Colin, played by Idris Elba, claims his car has broken down in a storm, Terri reluctantly agrees to let him inside her secluded home to call for help. What begins as a polite request soon reveals a sinister edge, as Colin’s true, manipulative nature emerges, turning Terri’s sanctuary into a deadly trap. Directed by Sam Miller, the film maintains a suffocating sense of dread as Terri must use all her wits to protect her family from this calculating intruder who seems to know more than he lets on. With a taut 84-minute runtime and a PG-13 rating, this edge-of-your-seat thriller explores the dangers of misplaced trust and the primal instinct to survive, featuring strong supporting performances from Leslie Bibb and Kate del Castillo.
