You’re Not Safe
In just eight minutes, director Sam Balcomb crafts a taut and chilling thriller that taps into the primal fear of being...
In the bleak Arctic solitude of a post-apocalyptic Earth, scientist Augustine, played by George Clooney, races to contact the crew of a returning spacecraft. He is joined by a mysterious young girl, portrayed by Caoilinn Springall, who has been left behind at his remote outpost. Meanwhile, aboard the spacecraft Aether, astronauts including Felicity Jones, Kyle Chandler, David Oyelowo, and Demian Bichir are unaware of the global catastrophe awaiting them at home. As Augustine battles failing health and brutal elements to find a working long-range antenna, the crew, which also includes Ethan Peck and Tiffany Boone, must navigate their own perilous journey through space, receiving his desperate warnings. Their parallel struggles for survival and connection unfold in this somber sci-fi drama directed by George Clooney. Based on the novel by Lily Brooks-Dalton and adapted by Mark L. Smith, the film explores isolation, regret, and the enduring human need to reach out against impossible odds.
