When three generations of a deliciously dysfunctional family gather to bury the family patriarch, the beloved granddau...
In a world that demands grand plans and polished answers, two people find themselves adrift. Janice, played by Jenna Fischer, is a temp worker whose quiet life is a constant disappointment to her overbearing sister and a target for the unsolicited advice of a smug self-help guru, Duncan, portrayed by Topher Grace. Tim, brought to life by Chris Messina, is a down-on-his-luck street performer who spends his days encased in silver paint as a silent, melancholic "Giant Mechanical Man." When fate lands them both in thankless jobs at a local zoo, these two kindred spirits form an unexpected connection. This charming romantic comedy from writer-director Lee Kirk explores the gentle, often humorous struggle to find purpose and authentic human connection amidst the noise of modern life. As Janice and Tim navigate the pressures from those around them, including Tim's ambitious ex-girlfriend Malin Akerman and Janice's relentlessly positive sister Lucy Punch, they discover that sometimes the most profound moments come not from having all the answers, but from simply being understood.
