What if you could erase your biggest regret and start your life over from that exact moment? In this high-concept comedy adventure, Adam Sandler stars as Charlie McMillan, a down-on-his-luck bank teller whose life is a monument to playing it safe. His polar opposite is his former best friend, the wildly irresponsible and perpetually broke Leo, played by David Spade. After a disastrous incident at their high school reunion, the two find themselves miraculously transported back to 1985, physically transformed into their teenage selves but with all their middle-aged memories intact. Seizing this second chance, Charlie is determined to rewrite his history, aiming to win over his lifelong crush, played by Paula Patton, and avoid the pitfalls of his original timeline. However, navigating the perils of adolescence with an adult’s perspective proves far more chaotic than expected, especially with Leo treating their do-over as a personal playground. Directed by Steve Brill, the film is a riotous blend of slapstick humor and heartfelt nostalgia as the two friends discover that changing the past is much harder, and funnier, than they ever imagined.
