Sent to live with his estranged father in North Philadelphia, rebellious teenager Cole discovers a world he never imagined in the urban drama Concrete Cowboy. Finding his father, Harp, played by Idris Elba, is a stalwart member of a tight-knit community of Black cowboys who keep horses right in the city stables, Cole is thrust into a gritty and unfamiliar reality. As he navigates tensions with his stern father and the dangerous allure of the streets with his old friend Smush (Jharrel Jerome), Cole is forced to choose between two competing paths.
