When his wife walks out on him, the hapless and perpetually unlucky Doug (Joey Kern) sees only one path to winning her back: winning a million-dollar prize on a reality TV survival show. With his best friend and a motley crew of fellow losers, he heads into the remote wilderness of Big Bear Lake, California, to compete in a cutthroat contest of grit and endurance. Unfortunately for Doug, his team is a disaster of mismatched personalities, including a loudmouth jerk (Pablo Schreiber), a clueless pretty boy (Adam Brody), and a neurotic hypochondriac (Tyler Labine). As the competition devolves into a chaotic series of misadventures and petty rivalries, the group must also contend with a relentless, gun-toting mountain man (Toby Huss) who has his own twisted rules for the game.
