Lead vocalist and guitarist Marc Roberge, drummer Chris Culos, guitarist Richard On, bassist Benj Gershman, and saxophonist/guitarist Jerry DePizzo attended Thomas S. Wootton High School, where they honed their musical talents. After graduating, they further developed their skills at Ohio State University, where they met DePizzo, who hailed from Youngstown, Ohio. The band initially performed at local venues and college campuses, building a loyal following through their engaging live shows.

O.A.R.’s rise to fame was propelled by their relentless touring and the release of several successful albums.
