Kevin Tighe
Kevin Tighe, born Jon Kevin Fishburn on August 13, 1944, is an American actor whose career has spanned over five decades across television, film, and theater. He is best known for his iconic role as firefighter-paramedic Roy DeSoto on the classic NBC series Emergency!, which aired from 1972 to 1977 and cemented his place in television history. Tighe’s journey in the entertainment industry began with humble roots, including his first major film appearance as an extra in the 1967 classic The Graduate. After signing contracts with Paramount and Universal, he found steady work in bit parts and extra roles before landing the career-defining part of Roy DeSoto on Emergency!, a show that followed the lives of Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics and became a cultural touchstone for its realistic portrayal of emergency medical services.
Following the conclusion of Emergency!, Tighe continued to build a robust resume with numerous guest appearances on popular television series.
