Josh Duhamel Biography

news-detailsLong before becoming a famous Hollywood actor, Josh Duhamel admitted of doing "a bunch of odd jobs." He subsequently took modeling job and won the title of Male Model of the Year in an International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) competition back in 1997. After that he landed himself jobs as extras on the music videos of Donna Summer's "I Will Go With You (Con te partiro)" and Christina Aguilera's "Genie in A Bottle".

In 1999, Duhamel made his TV debut as Leo du Pres on the soap opera "All My Children" and won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor. It was the role that made his name big in the industry. However, he decided to leave the feature by 2002 to pursue other acting opportunities and ended up securing a part on NBC show "Las Vegas" as the series regular Danny McCoy, for which he earned two Teen Choice Award nominations.

Duhamel then made his film debut in the 2004 "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!" which was followed up by a starring role in the thriller "Turistas". It was after that that he was recruited by Steven Spielberg to portray the role of Captain William Lennox in 2007 summer blockbuster film "Transformers". He reprised the part in its sequels; "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" (2009) and "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" (2011). His up and coming film features among others were "Safe Haven" (2013), "You're Not You" (2014), and "Lost In The Sun" (2014).

Duhamel was born as Joshua David Duhamel on November 14, 1972 in Minot, North Dakota. He married his singer girlfriend Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie on January 10, 2009. The couple welcomed their first child, son Axl Jack Duhamel on August 29, 2013.
