In a new episode of the morning talk show, the co-host can be seen approaching the audience section to reprimand an audience member who is caught filming the show on his phone.

AceShowbiz - Whoopi Goldberg doesn't hesitate to scold fans who break the rules. In a new episode of "The View", the co-host could be seen walking off the stage to reprimand an audience member who was caught filming the show on his phone.

Whoopi and other co-hosts were discussing former POTUS Donald Trump getting his fraud case bond reduced when Whoopi suddenly interrupted Sunny Hostin and stood up. She walked to the edge of the stage before scolding an unidentified audience member.

"Sir, I have to stop you with the camera, because I can see you," the 68-year-old actress said in the Tuesday, March 26 episode. "So do me a favor, don't pull it out again. I'd appreciate that, thank you." The audience later erupted into applause.

Co-host Sara Haines appeared to be not aware of what was happening, asking Joy Behar, "What was he doing?" To that, Joy informed her that the person was filming during the broadcast.

Audience is prohibited from taking pictures or recording videos of the popular ABC show while it's filming. They, however, are allowed to take some photos at designated non-filming times.

This wasn't the first time Whoopi scolded a live audience. Previously, she called out those who tried to boo Republican guests, like Kellyanne Conway, New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C.

During a June 2023 episode featuring Tim, Whoopi stressed, "This is 'The View'. We accept - we don't have to believe everything people say, but you cannot boo people here, please. You cannot do it. Please continue."

Joy also did the same during an episode with Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford. As they discussed Christine's new book, detailing her experience in testifying before the Senate during the Kavanaugh hearings, the co-host asked about the thousands of letters Christine received in support. Christine shared that most of the letters were from women with only 10% being from males.

"They need to understand, they have to step up to help us. We can't do this ourselves. I notice, I watch when people were clapping. Some of the men did not clap in this audience," Joy responded.
