Rumor has it, the 'Anaconda' hitmaker recently tried to hit up 'The Voice' to be a judge and pursue a role in the 'Ocean's Eleven' all-female spin-off.

AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj reportedly almost landed a gig on "The Voice". According to an insider, the "Side to Side" rapper recently tried to become a judge on the TV singing competition, but they didn't want her due to her past issues with Mariah Carey on "American Idol".

"Nicki Minaj recently tried to hit up 'The Voice' to be a judge but they ain't want her over there due to issues at American Idol with Mariah nor do they believe she has the likeability to be a judge," says the insider, "Her beefs and attitude has really damaged her reputation and career in this respect. This had her really pissed her off especially considering Miley [Cyrus]'s presence on the show recently."

According to the insider, Nicki has since "switched gears" and pursued a career in acting. The "Anaconda" hitmaker allegedly was about to launch her own reality show, before it was scrapped. "Her show was going to be used for her to crossover and to expand her mainstream/non-urban audience in general but her show deal was cancelled because of her brother's UNDERAGE RAPE scandal," explains the insider.

The insider also reveals that Nicki eyed a major part in "Ocean's Eight". "Last droplet I can give you is that she has been pursuing major(non-urban) roles since 'Barbershop', one of which I can confirm was 'Ocean's 8'," the insider tells MediaTakeOut, "They were interested too but ended up going with Rihanna instead."

A representative for Nicki hasn't responded to a request for comment.
