AceShowbiz - ABC revealed 30 women who will compete for Nick Viall's heart on "The Bachelor" season 21, which will premiere on January 2, 2017. The 36-year-old software sales executive will choose a lady from a group whose ages range from 23 to 31 years old.
The candidates include Alexis, a 23 year-old aspiring dolphin trainer, who loves using fake eyelashes and whitening strips. She is most afraid of the alien from "E.T." She appropriately makes her entrance to the show in a shark costume.
Lacey, a 25-year-old digital marketing manager whose hometown is Manhattan, says that her dream lunch would entail having burgers and fries with Shakespeare, J.K. Rowling and Joe Jonas. Her greatest achievements so far are graduating with a double degree and learning Arabic. In the season premiere, she arrives on a camel.
Another contestant, Angela, who is a model from South Carolina, hopes that in five years, she'll be married and have one child. She doesn't appreciate immaturity in a date and calls herself a weirdo for his habit of licking popcorn bags. "My brother and I used to do it all the time when we were little. So unhealthy," she says.
Astrid, who is a plastic surgery office manager in Tampa, Florida, hates working. She is most afraid of "dying alone and just getting old and wrinkly." When asked about which fictional character she'd most like to be, she says that she wants to be the Little Mermaid before she has legs because she would love to explore the ocean. Like Astrid, Briana, a 28-year-old surgical nurse from Salt lake City, also wants to be Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" because she thinks the character has "great hair, cool animal friends and she marries a cutie." Joining "The Little Mermaid" fans is Susannah, an account manager from San Diego, who wants to be Ariel because of the amazing hair and a seashell bra.
When Brittany, who is a hardcore fan of Beyonce Knowles, is asked about what she would do to impress her date, she says, "I'd cook him dinner. Food is the way to a man's heart." Meanwhile, Jaimi, a 28-year-old chef in New Orleans, says that it's depending on how much bigger the guy is. "I could bench-press him with my legs. It's pretty exciting and surprising," she claims.
Christen, a wedding videographer from Tulsa, Oklahoma, has deep curiosity about politics. She says that she would spend months sleeping in a storage closet and observing what actually goes on behind closed doors if she could get a chance to break a law with no repercussions.
A young business owner, Corinne thinks that Chicago is the most romantic city in the U.S. "It has a lot of fun activities you would want to share with someone special," she claims.
Contestant Danielle L., who describes herself as a romantic lady, lists Chrissy Teigen as the person she admires the most in the world. "She's gorgeous, strong willed and unapologetically herself. She and John Legend are couple goals!" she says. Another self-described "hopeless romantic" Olivia claims her longest relationship lasted four years but it ended because of his prescription drug addiction.
When Danielle M. is asked about why she's on the show, she explains that she just lost her fiance and needs a fresh start. Sharing a similar heartbreak story, Jasmine B. was engaged before but ended the relationship because she was too young and the guy ended up proving he didn't deserve her greatness. Meanwhile, Elizabeth says that she's on the show simply because she's sick of dating apps. She prefers to meet dates through mutual friends or in front of millions of weekly viewers.
Dominique, a restaurant server, loves Olivia Pope and is a die-hard fan of Chipotle. She says that her dream lunch would include her grandfather, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jesus eating burritos from Chipotle together.
