'The Bachelor' star joins the dancing competition as a late addition, partnering with pro-dancer Peta Murgatroyd.

AceShowbiz - Sean Lowe will soon return to the small screen after ending his "The Bachelor" gig. The 28-year-old hunk, who just proposed to Catherine Giudici in the dating show's season finale, has been officially announced as the late addition to "Dancing with the Stars" season 16 cast.

The insurance agent revealed his "DTWS" participation on "Good Morning America" Tuesday, March 12, confirming previous speculations. He will be partnering with returning pro-dancer Peta Murgatroyd.

"I'm going to make the transition over to dancing," Sean said with a laugh. "We've been keeping this a secret for a while now," Peta chimed in, and Sean added, "I am so tired of keeping secrets. But now they're all out."

"I've always said I'm not looking for fame. In fact, I don't like the fame aspect of The Bachelor or Dancing with the Stars," Sean later explained his decision to join the show. "But when an opportunity like Dancing comes along, it's too good to pass up. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

He also revealed that his new fiancee, Catherine, was fully supportive. "I wouldn't have taken it had Catherine not been OK with it. She's fully supporting me. She's in my corner. She's going to be on this crazy ride with me," he said.

Andy Dick, who will be competing in "DWTS" as well, has commented on his potential rival. "Oh Lord. If he has those guns and he's got the dance moves, then watch out America," the comedian gushed.

The new season of "DWTS" will premiere Monday, March 18 at 8 P.M. on ABC. Wynonna Judd, Kellie Pickler, Lisa Vanderpump, Aly Raisman, Zendaya Coleman, Jacoby Jones, Dorothy Hamill, D.L. Hughley, Ingo Rademacher and Victor Ortiz are the other celebrity contestants.
