Coming from 'The Voice' producer, 'The Winner Is' will feature singers of all ages and styles competing in head-to-head duels with a 'Deal or No Deal'-style twist.

AceShowbiz - Following the success of "The Voice", NBC is gearing up to launch another singing competition series. The network has greenlit "The Winner Is" which will pit singers (soloists and groups) of all ages and styles against each other in head-to-head duels for a $1 million dollar prize.
They will be judged by an in-studio panel led by a not-yet-named celebrity judge. The twist is, before the contestants learn their fate, they will be offered whether to step out of the competition in exchange for a cash payout, or to gamble on continuing in the game.
"The Voice" creator and producer John de Mol will executive produce the show. NBC alternative entertainment chief Paul Telegdy says the original singing game show "will feature a broad range of talent, dueling performers and the surprise of in-the-moment negotiations and decisions" that will "have viewers engaged and entertained."
No premiere date is set for "The Winner Is" just yet. The show's order comes two weeks after the Peacock canceled "The Sing-Off", which had run for 3 years. The last season of the Nick Lachey-hosted reality show averaged only 4.56 million viewers and a 1.5 rating in the demo.
