AceShowbiz - "True Blood" fans have finally got the answer to a question on when their favorite show will return. HBO has announced that the fifth season of the hit vampire-themed series will debut on Sunday, June 10 at 9 P.M. EST.
The new season, which consists of 12 episodes, will reveal the fate of Tara after she was shot by Debbie. Joining the regular cast is Christopher Meloni, who will portray "an ancient, powerful vampire who holds the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands."
Meanwhile, Camilla Luddington who plays fairy Claudette recently teased that people will see "the re-vamped version of the fairies" in season 5. She added that she will spend more time working with Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) this season.
The cable channel additionally confirmed Sunday, June 24 as the premiere date of its new series "The Newsroom". Taking the 10 P.M. time slot, the drama series from Aaron Sorkin follows Jeff Daniels' Will, an anchor who is on the brink of losing his audience after having a meltdown.
