Kristen Stewart Might Get the Leading Lady Role in 'Akira'

The Bella Swan of the 'Twilight Saga' film series has been offered to play Kei, a love interest of male lead Kaneda, in the anime-adapted movie.

Back in 2008, Warners obtained the rights to "Akira" for a seven-figure deal from Kodansha. However, the development of this project was long-delayed due to budgetary issue before the studio finally gave a green light to the project in October.
