Both Martinez and Phillips get 22 each from judges with their Viennese waltz, while Hope Solo and Ricki Lake are trailing behind them with 21 and 20 respectively.

AceShowbiz - The thirteenth cycle of "Dancing with the Stars" has officially been kicked off with the first performance show on Monday, September 19. While it is too early to make prediction on who will win, some contestants such as J.R. Martinez and Chynna Phillips have shown that they have the required skills.

Martinez, who is paired with Karina Smirnoff, and Phillips, who dances with Tony Dovolani, lead the current scoreboard with 22 of 30 each. Performing the Viennese waltz, the former was praised by judge Len Goodman for delivering "the best performances of the night", while the latter was called "a graceful dancer" by Carrie Ann Inaba.

Dancing the same kind of ballroom dance, Hope Solo and Ricki Lake are also potential strong contenders. The soccer star got 21 for showing great "body contact" with her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, but Bruno Toli advised her to learn control. Lake, meanwhile, got 20 for delivering an enjoyable performance.

Also performing Viennese waltz, David Arquette and Rob Kardashian were not as good as the other four. The "Scream" actor scored 18 with Len admitting he was "very, very impressed," but Carrie Ann thought he needs to be more relaxed.

The reality TV star, meanwhile, only scored 16. Bruno was harsh with his comment as saying, "You were going around like a little duckling, petrified... I didn't feel any musicality at all," but Carrie Ann defended him, "I don't know what Bruno's thinking. When I watch you, I see potential."

The other half of the cast performed the cha cha cha, and Kristin Cavallari did it the best among others. Len gushed, "It was bright, it was lively." Bruno chimed in, "A bad girl with good hips that can give hot action," before adding, "When you do your turns, you are unsteady." The former "The Hills" star scored 19.

Carson Kressley and Chaz Bono scored 17 each. Though the former is not a great dancer, he managed to deliver "great entertainment" in Len's opinion. Carrie Ann said Chaz "did not disappoint" either, with Bruno adding, "You were so cuddly and cute."

Nancy Grace got 16 as Bruno noted, "You don't seem to believe in yourself," and Carrie Ann suggested her to "work on remembering the choreography." Elisabetta Canalis scored 15. Carrie Ann said she fell apart when she was dancing alone, but Bruno still found an amusement in it as he gushed, "I liked the bed."

Scoring the lowest that night was Ron Artest. The basketball player, who recently changed his name to Metta World Peace, only got 14 since Len saw "it was all sizzle, no sausage" from his performance. Still, Carrie Ann believed he has an advantage on the dance floor, "Now we know who the wild one is going to be. You're sort of eccentric and sexy."

"DWTS" season 13 will return Tuesday, September 20 at 9 P.M. on ABC with the first result show.
