Dizzee Rascal hopes his duet with Florence and the Machine could outshine Lady GaGa's performance at the 2010 BRIT Awards.

AceShowbiz - A duet between Florence and the Machine and Dizzee Rascal for 2010 BRIT Awards has been confirmed. "Florence is kinda wild, but so am I. It will be about putting smiles on people's faces, pure entertainment," the rapper said as quoted by The Daily Star.
"We're doing a mash-up of 'You've Got the Love' and 'Dirtee Cash', a kind of Nineties extravaganza," he continued. "We've only had three days of rehearsals but I'd have been happy to wing it." He even hopes to outshine Lady GaGa's performance.
GaGa may share the stage with Beyonce Knowles for the annual event. Even though the R&B singer receives no nod at the awards show, Beyonce reportedly would love to make "Telephone" duet with the dance queen since her husband Jay-Z is also up for a performance and gets double nominations.
Another performer is Cheryl Cole. The Girls Aloud's member recently attended rehearsal sessions for the gig on Valentine's Day. Instead of spending the day with her hubby Ashley Cole, she preferred to work.
This reportedly happened because she was furious with Ashley after his naked photos were sent to a topless model. "Cheryl turned up wearing sunglasses. She didn't speak to anyone and just went straight into her dressing room. There was lots of food for artists at lunchtime but she didn't come out and eat anything," a source told The Mirror.
"She came on stage, did her performance and then left. She didn't back out of her performance and was in the venue for three hours but she looked miserable."
2010 BRIT Awards will be held on February 16 at London's Earls Court. Robbie Williams will be handed with Outstanding Contribution to Music Award and is scheduled to close the show with a medley of his hit singles. Leading the nominations list are Florence and the Machine, Lily Allen, Lady GaGa, JLS and Pixie Lott.
Prince Harry is scheduled to deliver a video message at the ceremony, praising the event for benefiting BRIT school in Croydon. "The BRITs is a celebration of all that is totally outstanding and unique about British music," he says. "And what's less well known about the BRIT Awards is the fantastic work it does raising millions of pounds for the BRIT Trust, which has benefited thousands of young people to develop their talents and generally enrich our society."
