Along with JLS, Pixie Lott and Florence and the Machine, Lady GaGa and Lily Allen sweep three nominations at the upcoming awards show which will be held on February 16.

AceShowbiz - Those vying for prizes at this year's BRIT Awards have been revealed. Female singers Lady GaGa and Lily Allen dominate the list with three nods along with JLS, Pixie Lott and Florence and the Machine.
Lady GaGa is nominated for International Female Solo Artist, International Album and International Breakthrough Act. In the latest category, she is up against Animal Collective, Daniel Merriweather, Empire of the Sun and Taylor Swift.
As for Lily Allen, she is among the contenders for British Female Solo Artist, MasterCard British Album and British Single. In the Solo Artist field, she is facing off Bat for Lashes, Florence and the Machine, Leona Lewis and Pixie Lott.
JLS are also up against Pixie Lott and Florence and the Machine in British Breakthrough Act. They get two other nominations for British Group and British Single, the latter has them competing against their pal from "The X Factor", Alexandra Burke, the show's judge Cheryl Cole and Pixie Lott among others.
In addition to being nominated for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Artist, Florence and the Machine is up for MasterCard British Album alongside Dizzee Rascal, Kasabian, Lily Allen and Paolo Nutini. All nominees have been announced except for BRITs Hits 30 which are still to be determined. Missing from the list is YouTube singing sensation Susan Boyle.
2010 BRIT Awards will be held on February 16 at London's Earls Court. Robbie Williams will be handed with Outstanding Contribution to Music Award and is scheduled to close the show with a medley of his hit singles. Other musical guests will be unveiled in the coming weeks. Rumor has it, Lady GaGa and Jay-Z have been booked to make live performances.
