A followup to ''The Kennedys'' 2011 miniseries. Focusing on Ted Kennedy in the years following the assassinations of his brothers Jack and Bobby, the mini depicts his complicated public and private life as he tries to live up to his family's political ambitions and also fill a male leadership void in the family.
Also featured is Kennedy Onassis, who despite her desire for privacy had become perhaps the most famous and admired woman in the world. Her ties to the Kennedy family remained strong throughout her life, and her relationship with her brother-in-law Ted grew ever closer as they turned to each another for support.
