Protesters gather outside the courthouse where a trial - a civil suit against a chemical company accused of contaminating ground water with toxins - is underway. Inside the courtroom, Zack Phelps (25), a jury consultant, helps company lawyers question potential jurors. He is good at his job but takes little pleasure in it. Zack steps out of the courtroom during a break and is confronted by a young woman... then he vanishes. Our agents initially focus on the court case as being the cause of Zack's disappearance. Was he targeted because he was on the side of the chemical company? Suspicion soon turns away from the case to Adam, who has recently threatened Zack. He blames Zack for the drunk-driving death of Lisa, Zack's former girlfriend and Adam's sister. Meanwhile, our agents discover that Zack was looking into a recent murder case that he consulted that resulted in a hung jury. When Zack is found dead - the victim of a professional hit - the agents realize he may have uncovered a jury tampering conspiracy. Following a lead, Martin drives to a remote cabin where he finds KIM MARKS (32) a juror on the murder case. In fear for her life, she pulls a gun and takes him hostage as a hitman arrives to take her out. As Martin and Kim struggle to elude the killer, they form a connection. It's a connection that reveals a dangerous merging of Martin's personal and professional lives, leaving him vulnerable on all fronts. Once Martin saves Kim, the audience discovers a fascinating secret about her that could lead to Martin's undoing...
