Walden begrudgingly brings Alan along to the charity event thrown by his mother Robin. At the event, Alan meets his celebrity crush Lynda Carter, a friend of Robin's. Alan discovers Lynda is single and begs Walden to set him up with her. Walden hesitantly agrees to help, but never intends to actually fulfill the request. After Alan confronts him about it, Walden implies that Alan is not good enough to date her. Walden later apologizes to him and arranges to have Lynda and his mother over for dinner. When Alan makes a fool of himself at the dinner, Walden apologizes to Lynda in private and is caught off guard when she kisses him. Alan walks in on the kiss and begins arguing with Walden, but they reconcile the next morning while Jenny sneaks Robin and Lynda out of her bedroom.
