When Walden laments about the fact that his billionaire status clouds his interaction with women, he takes Alan's suggestion to pretend to be someone else and creates a persona for himself. He poses as a regular guy named Sam and hits it off with Kate, a salesgirl and aspiring clothing designer, while shopping for clothes for his new persona. To go along with the guise, Alan pretends to be the billionaire of the house and relishes treating Walden like dirt. Kate suggests that Walden move in with her after to avoid being degraded by Alan. Walden enjoys being a normal guy so much that he decides to move in with Kate.
