After another late night at the office, Sophie comes home to find a very perturbed manny. But even worse than Remy's lecture about how she needs to spend more time with Robbie is her realization that she's missing out on a lot of cool mommy stuff. So Sophie vows to be a more hands-on mom and decides to take Robbie to work with her.
It's a great plan. In theory.
But Sophie soon finds that balancing work and motherhood isn't easy.
Case in Point No.1: She's spurned by the other moms is a parenting class when her cell phone goes off. Twice.
Case in Point No.2: Estelle lands the movie role of a lifetime, which Sophie promptly loses for her when Robbie cries during negotiations with the scary-mean producer.
Case in Point No. 2A: Melissa loses a role in the same movie because, you guessed it, the scary-mean producer is really THAT scary and mean. Suddenly Sophie realize she can't be Agent of the Year and Mommy of the Year at the same time. What's more, she doesn't really want to be. What she HAS to do, though, is get Estelle and Melissa their parts back. But how?
In steps Rick as the unlikeliest hero of all time. With his lips metaphorically puckered, he sweet-talks the producer into bringing Estelle and Melissa back on board.
Everyone's happy again -- including Sophie, who realizes that carting Robbie to work isn't fair to him and isn't doing much for her business, either. She decides to put Remy back on full-time manny duty, and from now on she'll punch the clock at 5 so she can be home more.
Sounds like the stuff Mommies -- and Agents -- of the Year are made of.
