Sophie's THIS close to signing hot young actress Miriam Cambridge, when Rick tries to steal her away. suddenly it's war between Rick and Sophie, until Sophie offers an olive branch. she suggests dinner (much to Bridget's dismay), and Rick and Melissa say OK -- on one condition. They'll host the dinner at their place, and Melissa will cook... er, order in.
Sophie and Matt show up for the meal, and everything goes well. Kind of. But then Sophie asks Rick to let her have Miriam Cambridge, and -- BAM! -- it's World war III all over again.
This time, however, Sophie chucks the peacenik bit and retaliates -- by spiking the dessert with some of Matt's pharmaceutical samples! Luckily, Matt trips up her plan, and the only one who eats the spiked dessert is Melissa's dog (who actually seems to benefit from some mediacation).
Despite the disastrous dinner, Sophie ends up signing Miriam anyway, thanks to -- of all people -- Estelle. I starts when Estelle runs into Miriam at a bookstore (while researching her latest role as a "ho with attitude") and learn that the young actress is a fan. Miriam ends up taking Estelle's advice to join the "Parker Posse"... and in one fell swoop, Sophie's agency is on the way up.
In the end, Rick admits he wants to run Sophie out of town so he won't have to see her anymore. Could he still have feelings for her? Whether he does or not, Sophie should watch her back. After all, all's fair in love and war.
