It's back to work for Sophie, but things are definitely NOT back to normal. Her baby is two weeks old, and she's still trying to get used to the whole mommy things. Plus, when Sophie returns to work, she finds her office in shambles. Rebuliding won't be easy, especially since Rick has stolen 40 of her best clients. To make matters worse, she gets a demented balloon-o-gram inviting her to the launch party for Rick's new agency!
When the going gets tough, the tough go out to lunch. However, Sophie's first post-baby venture to her fave French restaurant doesn't go so dreamily. It actually turns out to be a total nightmare. Rick and Melissa show up and sit in the next booth, sendingSophie underground, er, under the table to wait them out.
Sophie does what any warm-blooded female would do in the same situation: she goes home and eats a tub of chocolate frosting. Her pity party is cut short when Melissa shows up, wanting to be friends again. Sophie throws her out, and then she gets her own butt in gear.
she puts on a bombshell red dress and goes to Rick's party with Estelle. Rick slinks away, but Sophie confronts him in his office. He starts spouting off about the "loser" clients he stole from her -- not realizing that all the partygoers can hear him.
The clients are horrified. sophie's vindicated. (Slightly.) and Estelle walks out with a bunch of hors d'oeuvres in her purse. All in all, it's a very productive evening.
The next morning, Sophie returns to her office with fresh determination. she's celaning up when former receptionist Bridget walks in, wanting her old job back. Seems Bridget realize that jumping shii to go work for rick was a BAD idea. Sophie takes her back and gives her first assignment: sending an R-rated balloon-o-gram to Rick.
In other words -- actually, one four-letter word -- it's a declaration of war.
