Elijah doubts Monica's loyalty, so has her abducted and threatens to have her woodchipper-shred, but lets her prove loyalty by a plan to double play the LAPD on his trail. Her guise of finally helping is seen trough by LAPD, so the second time Monica reports on Elijah moves, the police manage to decode the real location at the Port of Los Angeles. After a shootout ensues Elijah subdues Harper, but Lopez wounds him and they arrest him. Monica contacts Abril offering her 'legal' assistance. Nolan re-opens the file on Celina's sister Blanca's murder and they discovers a new lead, which fractures the previous alibi. Nolan learns from a witness that he and Celina's mother Carla Juarez were taking opioids together, both addicted but cut-off after medical treatment, leaving the sisters home alone, during which Blanca disappeared. Carla is brought in for questioning and admits the truth.
