CENTRAL PARK JOGGER ATTACKED BY KILLER PIT-BULL -- Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) are called to the scene of a vicious dog attack in which a woman was mauled to death and as they rush to track down the ferocious animal before it strikes again, they trace the dog's ownership to a prisoner (guest star David Warshofsky) in Attica already serving two life-terms. Executive A.D.A. Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) and A.D.A. Serena Southerlyn (Elisabeth Rohm) must determine who among the prisoner's few outside contacts could have aided him in his fight-dog business, and who is ultimately responsible for the dog's trained propensity for deadly violence.
