In a world where the fate of the planet hinges on a single classroom, a bizarre, tentacled creature known only as Koro-sensei has destroyed the moon and threatens to do the same to Earth. His one condition for mercy: he will teach Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High, a group of students deemed misfits and outcasts, and give them a single year to assassinate him before he detonates. The catch is that he is impossibly fast and seemingly indestructible, forcing his students to balance their rigorous academic studies with increasingly creative and desperate attempts on his life. As the students of Class 3-E, led by the determined Nagisa Shiota and the impulsive Karma Akabane, hone their skills, they discover that their seemingly monstrous teacher may be the most caring mentor they have ever had. Blending dark comedy with heartfelt coming-of-age drama, this series explores themes of redemption and the value of education as the students learn that their greatest weapon might not be a knife, but the bonds they form with their target.
