The woman who wrecked Shania Twain's marriage to record producer Mutt Lange refused to give up her affair with him, telling the singer she couldn't control her lover's feelings.

AceShowbiz - Shania Twain has cut off all ties to her former friend and assistant Marie-Anne Thiebaud since learning of the romance between her and her now ex-husband - and has even refused to allow Mutt Lange to let their son spend time with his girlfriend.
But before cutting Thiebaud off completely, Twain had one final frosty showdown with her former friend, after sending her an email begging her to leave Lange alone.
The "You're Still the One" singer tells Access Hollywood, "She said, 'I can't control your husband's feelings for me. It's not my fault that he loves me.'"
"Then I started to get angry because I was thinking, 'OK, now that's... It took a lot of nerve to say that.'"
In a romantic twist, Twain became close with Thiebaud's estranged husband Fred as she dealt with the heartbreak of her broken marriage. The couple wed on New Years Day, January 1 of 2011.
