AceShowbiz - The "Poker Face" hitmaker Lady GaGa earned in excess of $62 million (GBP38.75 million) in the past year, according to estimates, but she has chosen not to splurge on a spacious new house, because she'd rather spend the money on her stage sets and live performances.

And the singer insists the creative freedom her phenomenal success now affords her is the real pay off from her years of hard work.

She tells Harper's Bazaar magazine, "I spend my money on my props and my creations. I'm an inventor."

"The true luxury of my success is that I can do it all on my own terms now, even though the roller-coaster ride is still going. (But now) I own the whole theme park."
