AceShowbiz - Australian actress/singer Sophie Monk has revealed she has only been dating her new businessman fiance for three months. The 31 year old agreed to marry Jimmy Esebag, 51, after he proposed during a recent night out at her favorite Los Angeles restaurant and the star announced the happy news on Australian radio station 2Day FM on Tuesday, January 25.

And she's now revealing all about her romance, insisting Esebag is her ideal man. Monk tells Who magazine, "We've been friends for a long time. We've only been together in a relationship three months but this feels different."

"He's a keeper. He balances me. This is me changing and being ready for it... I'm relaxing and enjoying the moment. He's given me a new perspective on life," she further reveals. "He's a lot older than me but... Jimmy is so worldly. He's French. I want to be with someone I can learn from. I know people (will) make remarks about us but it doesn't bother me. When you know, you know."

"I've never had someone balance me out in a relationship before... they've either been workaholics too or I needed to make the money for them. With Jimmy, I just love everything about him."

Monk was previously engaged to Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden, and dated Ryan Seacrest and Kevin Connolly.
