AceShowbiz - Dame Julie Andrews had second thoughts about teaming up with her daughter, writer Emma Walton Hamilton, to launch a collection of children's books - because she was convinced they would have a bad working relationship.
The mother-daughter duo has collaborated on 23 books since they first starting working together in children's publishing, most recently releasing "The Very Fairy Princess". Andrews admits she initially had doubts about hiring her offspring to help write the novels, but she was pleasantly surprised to discover their working relationship only strengthened their personal bond.
She says, "We now face each other as two equal women and we're really very compatible. We didn't think we would be at first because we're kind of two bossy ladies and we thought that we might clash, but we actually don't."
