Music

The founding members of Thin Lizzy want Joe Elliott to join the band's new project to remaster and remix two or three of their classic albums.

AceShowbiz - Def Leppard star Joe Elliott is in talks with the founding members of Thin Lizzy to re-record the late Phil Lynott's vocals for a new project. Guitarist Scott Gorham insists he's keen to remaster and remix two or three of the band's classic albums and he wants Elliott to join the band for the sessions.

He tells Guitarist magazine, "I've been talking to the guys (executives) at Universal (about a) deluxe album where you get the original (album) remastered and the second disc will either be the whole album remixed or tracks cherry-picked off for that treatment."

"I'm actually talking to Joe Elliott about going into his studio and doing it there in Dublin. We've been talking about that for a few years and now Universal is on board; it's now a matter of finalizing all the costs to do it."

"We want to get in this year and start the remixes. We want to get onto it as soon as possible... You keep Phil and keep his bass parts but see what we could do now, see what the songs turn out like now."
