AceShowbiz - Michael Jackson's physician must wait until June 14 to learn when his involuntary manslaughter trial will begin. Dr. Conrad Murray, who stands accused of administering the drugs that killed the King of Pop in June 2009, was in court on Monday, April 5 for a pre-trial hearing.
He was met by protesting Jackson fans and members of the late star's family - Janet Jackson and Jermaine Jackson joined their mother Katherine in court for the proceedings. Murray learned top judge Michael Pastor will oversee the trial. He will set a date for a preliminary hearing in June.
The doctor has denied any wrongdoing and has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of Jackson.
As for his defense at the court hearing, TMZ recently reported Dr. Conrad Murray claimed a shocking story as he stated that late Michael Jackson injected himself lethal doses of Propofol without his supervision. According to his side of the story, he gave the King of Pop 25mg of Propofol at 10.50 A.M. And when he left Michael's room, the singer gave himself a fatal dose of the sedative.
