AceShowbiz - Rod Stewart was at the center of a security scare following his Christmas break in Florida - his plane was delayed for strict checks following an attempted bombing on an earlier U.S. flight.
The singer had been enjoying a festive break in Miami with his wife Penny Lancaster and four-year-old son Alistair. The family was due to fly to London's Heathrow airport on Monday, December 28 but they faced a two-hour delay to allow for security searches after a man smuggled explosives onto a flight on Christmas Day.
After the wait, the singer and his family were finally allowed to return to Britain, where they were met by their driver and taken home.
