AceShowbiz - RXRXBBIT has released a new single titled notmyproblem on September 25 via all DSPs. The song explores the space between being harmed by someone's destructive behavior and recognizing your own role in enabling it, written from the perspective of multiple romantic and platonic relationship dynamics.

The track examines what happens when you simultaneously see yourself as the victim, recognize that you are participating in the cycle, and continue finding ways to excuse your own contribution. Rather than assigning a clear villain or offering an easy resolution, RXRXBBIT sits directly inside that contradiction, turning cognitive dissonance, guilt and self-deception into dark, high-energy alt-pop.

An accompanying surreal music video expands that idea into a visual world that physically manifests the cognitive dissonance keeping the narrator trapped in the dynamic. An androgynous, otherworldly Entity represents the conflicting beliefs she has constructed to justify continuing to participate, while a black ribbon becomes a symbol of innocence, choice and the consequences that grow from those choices over time.

The video is less a traditional music video than a visual extension of the song's psychology, bringing its central tension to life without offering a literal explanation or easy resolution.

RXRXBBIT's music is entirely self-produced and deliberately resistant to a single genre, moving fluidly between alt-pop, electropop, dance pop and the stranger edges of hyperpop, using each song to explore a different psychological or cultural pressure point. Across her growing catalog, she has tackled themes including capitalism, girlhood, substance use, ambition, hypervigilance and self-destructive behavior.

Since 2025, she has amassed more than 1.9 million Spotify streams from 781,000 listeners, with 38,000 saves and 57,000 playlist adds. Previous releases including Sunk Cost, ifimOK and Usin It have established RXRXBBIT as an artist with a distinctive ability to make psychological turmoil feel strangely exhilarating.
