The new season will pick up where the last season left off, taking viewers beyond the handcuffs and inside booking, where every new arrival brings a new story and anything can happen. The premiere episode, titled Every Which Way But Loose, will debut on October 1 and features a furious DUI suspect fighting deputies in booking, an erratic woman ranting after her parade-day arrest, and a heroin-addicted repeat offender returning to jail just hours after her release.

The series will be available on several FAST channel platforms, including Roku, Prime, Vizio and Sony (Live TV on PlayStation 5). Following the launch, 11 episodes will air, with another nine originals planned for 2027.

Filming locations for the new season include cities such as Woodstock (IL), Chattanooga (TN), Shreveport (LA), Hillsboro (OR) and more. The show is produced by Langley Productions and distributed by Langley Television Distribution, with Morgan Langley serving as executive producer.

The return of Jail comes after an eight-year hiatus, with the last new episodes airing in 2017. The series originally gained popularity for its raw portrayal of the booking process and life inside jails across the United States.
