In the interview, White explained that his attack on Boosie BadAzz was fueled by frustration after the Louisiana rapper arrived in Dallas and appeared to be posturing in response to Mo3's murder. White conveyed that his motive was to send a warning rather than to cause fatal harm.

White admitted to firing approximately 10 shots at Boosie BadAzz, describing the incident as an effort to show the rapper to stop “playing” rather than intending to kill him. This confrontation reportedly occurred shortly after Boosie BadAzz traveled to Dallas following the vigil held for Mo3.

Boosie BadAzz himself was shot in Dallas a day after attending Mo3's vigil in November 2020. He later addressed White’s admission on social media, questioning why White would speak publicly about the shooting and highlighting White’s decision to file an appeal against his conviction. Boosie suggested that the appeal and interview were contradictory actions given the severity of the crimes.

Currently, Kewon White is serving a life sentence for the murder of Mo3 but is actively appealing the verdict. Prosecutors have alleged that another rapper, Yella Beezy, paid White to carry out the killing. Yella Beezy’s trial is scheduled to begin next month.
