AceShowbiz - Unearthed Films is releasing the independent post-apocalyptic horror film The Sky Has Fallen on Blu-ray and Digital Video on October 13.
The film follows two survivors of a devastating outbreak that wipes out most of humanity. Within hours, a disease kills nearly everyone, leaving survivors like Lance and Rachel isolated. They discover the plague is only the beginning when mysterious black figures appear to collect the dead and perform horrifying experiments. Lance and Rachel decide to fight back and confront the leader of these creatures.
The movie runs 78 minutes, is in English, and is region-free.
The special edition Blu-ray includes extensive supplemental material. Among the extras is a commentary with director Doug Roos and executive producer James Segars, along with a retrospective titled '20 Years Later: Reflecting on My First Feature.'
Additional featurettes cover Asian cinema influence, 1980s genre films, pre-production, principal photography, post-production, recording the score, special effects, monster creation, mask making, and prosthetic application. The original theatrical trailer is also included.
