AceShowbiz - BigXthaPlug has been arrested once again in Texas, facing multiple charges including driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The arrest occurred last Friday, August 21, when the rapper was pulled over by the Allen Police Department. According to reports from TMZ, BigXthaPlug was booked into the Collin County Jail on charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of less than two ounces of marijuana, and unlawful firearm possession.

This incident coincided with the day BigXthaPlug was scheduled to perform at the Country Rising Festival in Canada. Festival organizers later announced on Instagram that he would no longer appear, citing a "personal emergency" as the reason for his absence.

Following the arrest, BigXthaPlug was seemingly released over the weekend. On Sunday, August 23, he posted his mugshot on Instagram with the caption, “THAT SH*T LITE [face palm emoji] ALBUM OTW...”

This recent arrest comes nearly a year after a similar incident in August 2025, when police in Dallas found a firearm and marijuana in his vehicle during a traffic stop. Earlier, in February 2025, BigXthaPlug was also arrested in Texas after police pulled him over for expired tags. During that stop, officers reportedly detected the smell of marijuana, leading to a search that uncovered both weed and a gun.

At that time, BigXthaPlug’s passenger, Cleodist Landum—believed to be related to the rapper—was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant related to marijuana possession and unlawful carrying of a weapon in Bexar County, Texas. BigXthaPlug was later released on bond.

The rapper’s repeated legal troubles in Texas, involving similar charges, highlight ongoing issues with driving under the influence and illegal possession of firearms and drugs. His latest arrest interrupts what was planned to be a festival appearance and casts uncertainty on his upcoming projects.
