AceShowbiz - The Walt Disney Company honored 11 new Disney Legends during a star-studded ceremony on August 16, 2026, at the Anaheim Convention Center, capping off the largest D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event to date. The 2026 class includes Chris Berman, Jerry Bruckheimer, Susan Egan, Eric Goldberg, Anne Hathaway, Bob Iger, Kim Irvine, Dwayne Johnson, the Jonas Brothers, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Alan Tudyk.

Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the ceremony featured heartfelt tributes, musical performances, and surprise appearances from a host of celebrities. Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro opened the event before a sold-out crowd, praising the honorees for their contributions to Disney's legacy.

"For more than a century, Disney stories have endured time because they tap into something timeless. Thanks to the extraordinary talent behind them, they continue to push boundaries of creativity and innovation, open new worlds, and show us what's possible," D’Amaro said. "Their creativity, innovation, excellence, and deep commitment to bringing joy to people around the world has made them the stuff of legend, and recognizing them alongside the fans who love their work is what makes this event so meaningful."

Each honoree received a personalized tribute. Lin-Manuel Miranda was presented with his award by Auli'i Cravalho after a musical medley of hits from Moana, Encanto, and Hamilton. Alan Tudyk was honored with a video showcasing his iconic roles in Frozen and Zootopia, presented by Ginnifer Goodwin. Kim Irvine received her award from Disney Legend Ming-Na Wen, who thanked her for bringing Disney Parks experiences to life.

The Jonas Brothers were introduced by Vanessa Hudgens, who highlighted their enduring connection to Disney. Susan Egan, the original Broadway Belle, was celebrated with performances from Beauty and the Beast alumni and a cover of "I Won't Say I'm in Love" from Hercules by pop group KATSEYE.

Sports broadcasting legend Chris Berman received tributes from Robin Roberts, Peyton Manning, and others, with an on-stage presentation by NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young. Jerry Bruckheimer was presented with his award by Orlando Bloom, who praised his cinematic vision. Eric Goldberg, creator of the Genie in Aladdin, was honored by Jared Bush, with the Disneyland Band performing "Friend Like Me."

Anne Hathaway received her award from The Devil Wears Prada 2 director David Frankel, with a special video message from Anna Wintour. Dwayne Johnson was presented with his award by Emily Blunt, who reflected on his impact as a modern movie star. Bob Iger was introduced by Josh D’Amaro and honored with tributes from Al Michaels, Diane Sawyer, Ellen Pompeo, Robert Downey Jr., and Harrison Ford.

The ceremony closed with a performance of "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" by Samantha Barks, followed by a group photo of the inductees with Disney characters. The event will be available to stream on Disney+.

The final day of D23 also featured the premiere of Leslie Iwerks' documentary Disney Worldbuilders, along with panels, immersive experiences, and exclusive shopping opportunities. The ceremony celebrated the enduring legacy of Disney storytelling and the visionaries who bring it to life.
