AceShowbiz - Adrianne Palicki stars in the upcoming drama Due West, which will debut on Digital and Video on Demand on July 28, 2026, via Cineverse. The film follows a woman traveling across rural Texas to receive urgent medical care after an unintended pregnancy, facing a series of roadblocks and encounters with strangers along the way.

Directed and co-written by Evan Miller, Due West was shot on location in West Texas and had its world premiere at the Dallas International Film Festival in 2025. The film has since garnered critical acclaim on the festival circuit, winning Best Feature Film at the Burbank International Film Festival and the El Paso Film Festival, as well as Best Texas Narrative at the Lonestar Film Festival.

The film also features a strong ensemble cast including Henry Thomas, Ciara Bravo, Matt Lauria, and Odette Annable. The official synopsis describes the story as a journey driven by a broken medical system, where a small-town woman's truck breaks down in the middle of nowhere, forcing her to navigate compassion and exploitation as her condition worsens.

Miller expressed his gratitude for the film's journey, saying, "This film was made possible by the pure passion and grit of the cast and crew. More than any first time director could ask for. After seeing the reactions and conversations sparked in festival audiences across the country I am thrilled to be able to share it with a wider audience, and thankful for the wonderful home it has found at Cineverse."

Palicki, known for her roles in Friday Night Lights and John Wick, shared her personal connection to the project: "I've only been sure of two things in my life. The first, I knew I had to be an actor. The second, that I needed to be a part of Due West. When Evan brought me the script, I was absolutely blown away. Due West handles a difficult topic in a thoughtful way. To see how many people have been touched by this film through the festival circuit, and how well received it has been, has blown me away. I'm so incredibly thankful to Cineverse for believing in our film and helping it be brought to a much wider audience. We can't wait to share it with the world."

The official trailer has been released, offering a glimpse into the tense and emotional journey that awaits viewers. Due West is written by Miller and Hardy Janson, and marks Miller's feature directorial debut.

Cineverse, the entertainment technology company behind the film, has been expanding its footprint in the streaming space. The company recently announced a partnership with Amagi to power FAST channels, and its theatrical slate includes upcoming releases such as Wolf Creek: Legacy and the 20th anniversary re-release of Pan's Labyrinth.

With its festival pedigree and a timely, thought-provoking narrative, Due West is poised to reach a wide audience when it arrives on digital platforms later this month.
