AceShowbiz - Lanterns is set to premiere on August 16, bringing a fresh take to the DC Studios universe with a new trailer that expands beyond its initially teased earthbound mystery.

The series, which stars Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, introduces viewers to the wider cosmos of the Green Lantern Corps. Unlike the first teaser that only hinted at the powers of a Green Lantern ring, the latest trailer explicitly showcases the extraordinary abilities the ring grants, including scenes set on a planet distinctly different from Earth.

The trailer also highlights the dynamic tension between the veteran Lantern Jordan and the ambitious new recruit Stewart. A poignant moment features Stewart confiding in a character played by Laura Linney, stating, "I was raised fearless, and I'll do this better than [Jordan] has ever done it before." Linney’s character encourages him with the reply, "Then go and get it, John Stewart."

Adding to the excitement, Nathan Fillion will reprise his role as Guy Gardner, reprising his appearance from last year’s Superman film. The ensemble cast also includes Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, Jason Ritter, Ulrich Thomsen, J. Alphonse Nicholson, and Jasmine Cephas Jones.

The creative team behind Lanterns features notable names such as Chris Mundy, known for Ozark, who serves as showrunner and executive producer.
