“Somebody asked me if I still f–k with Nicki Minaj,” she said to her viewers. “I think that other people’s opinions of me are not my business.” Lizzo made it clear she does not want to revisit past online exchanges or controversies.

She explained that while she is aware some things were said about her by Nicki Minaj on the internet, she has chosen to remain uninformed about the details. “I don’t really know what exactly was said about me, but I do know that there were some things said about me from her on the internet,” Lizzo stated. “I am choosing not to know about that. I don’t want to know.”

Lizzo also opened up about the widespread nature of criticism she faces online, including from people she personally knows. “A lot of people talk s–t about me on the internet,” she shared. “People I actually know, people I actually have a personal relationship [with] have talked s–t about me on the internet like I’m just a random celebrity to them. It’s bizarre.”

During the livestream, Lizzo addressed body-shaming remarks linked to Nicki Minaj and reiterated her lack of personal connection with her. “I don’t know Nicki Minaj, I don’t know what was said about me and I don’t care ’cause people’s opinions don’t affect my life,” she said.

She urged fans not to twist her comments or create unnecessary conflict. “I do not know Nicki Minaj personally,” Lizzo emphasized. “Please do not clip this and make this into something it’s not.”
