AceShowbiz - Romeo Santos and Prince Royce have soared to the top of Billboard's Latin Airplay chart as their collaboration "Dardos" climbs from No. 3 to No. 1 on the chart dated May 9, 2026. This achievement marks another milestone for both artists, solidifying their dominance in the tropical music scene.
"Dardos" experienced a significant 37% increase in audience impressions, reaching 9.2 million in the United States during the tracking week ending April 30, according to data from Luminate. This surge propelled the song to overtake Maluma and Kany García's "1+1," which dropped from No. 1 to No. 3 after a 30% decline to 6.5 million impressions.
This is the second time Romeo Santos and Prince Royce have teamed up for a chart-topping hit, following their earlier success with "Lokita Por Mí," which held the No. 1 spot for three weeks from December 2025 through March 2026. Both tracks are featured on their joint album Better Late Than Never, which debuted at No. 2 on the Top Latin Albums chart and led the Top Tropical Albums chart for two weeks in late 2025.
With "Dardos" reaching the summit of the overall Latin Airplay chart, Romeo Santos extends his record for the most No. 1 hits among tropical artists since the chart's inception in 1994, now totaling 24. Meanwhile, Prince Royce celebrates his 20th chart-topper, further cementing his place among Latin music's elite.
On the Tropical Airplay chart, "Dardos" climbs from No. 2 to No. 1, marking Prince Royce's 28th No. 1 on that chart. He trails only Victor Manuelle, who has 29 No. 1s, and Marc Anthony with 39. Meanwhile, Romeo Santos secures his 21st No. 1 on Tropical Airplay.
Elsewhere in Latin music, the Regional Mexican Airplay chart sees La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho achieve its 22nd No. 1 with the song "¿Dónde Estabas Tú?". This places the group in a tie with Banda MS for the second-most No. 1s in the chart’s nearly 32-year history, trailing only Calibre 50, which holds the record with 29.
"¿Dónde Estabas Tú?" rose to the top with 7 million audience impressions, marking a 10% increase during the tracking period. The song follows the group's previous two-week No. 1 collaboration with Juanes, titled "Una Noche Contigo."
With these latest chart movements, Romeo Santos and Prince Royce continue to demonstrate their strong influence and popularity within Latin music's tropical genre, while other artists like La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho maintain significant presence in the Regional Mexican category.
