This news was first confirmed by Deadline and personally announced by Leavitt during her final performance in the Broadway musical Chicago on Sunday.

Whitney Leavitt became a central figure when The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premiered on Hulu in September 2024. The show follows a tight-knit group of young mothers from Utah who gained viral fame on TikTok with their #MomTok dance videos. Throughout her time on the series, Leavitt was often at the center of controversy, engaging in multiple disputes with her peers and eventually being ostracized from the group.

Capitalizing on her reality TV fame, Leavitt competed on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars last season, reaching the penultimate episode alongside professional dancer Mark Ballas. In addition to her recent Broadway role, she is slated to star in an upcoming holiday romantic comedy called All for Love. Meanwhile, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is expected to resume filming its fifth season after a break to address domestic violence allegations involving cast member Taylor Frankie Paul and her former boyfriend Dakota.

On NBC’s daytime soap Days of Our Lives, Jacob Martinez has been cast as Javi, replacing Al Calderon. Martinez’s debut will air on June 30.
