AceShowbiz - The collaboration between Yellowcard and Good Charlotte has reached the top spot on Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart, with their track Bedroom Posters ascending to No. 1 on the May 9-dated list.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for both bands, staples of the 2000s pop-punk scene. For Yellowcard, it represents their second consecutive No. 1 on the chart following the three-week dominance of Better Days last August and September. The 2025 album Better Days, which originally featured Bedroom Posters without Good Charlotte, was released on October 10, 2025, and has accumulated 31,000 equivalent album units so far.

Yellowcard first appeared on Alternative Airplay 22 years ago before reaching No. 1, setting a record for the longest wait between an initial chart appearance and a No. 1 ranking. That record has now been surpassed by Good Charlotte, who earned their first-ever No. 1 on any Billboard airplay chart with Bedroom Posters. The band's journey began in September 2000, when they first entered Alternative Airplay with their track Little Things. This marks a remarkable span of 25 years, seven months, and one week between their first chart appearance and their first No. 1 hit.

Before Bedroom Posters, Good Charlotte had only cracked the Alternative Airplay top 10 once with their 2003 single The Anthem. Their highest airplay chart position prior to this was a No. 6 peak on the Pop Airplay chart with Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous, also in 2003.

In addition to topping Alternative Airplay, Bedroom Posters climbed to No. 20 on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, which tracks audience impressions across all rock formats. The song garnered 2 million audience impressions for the week ending April 30, a 7% increase. This is Good Charlotte's highest placement on this audience-based chart, surpassing the No. 34 peak of their 2025 single Rejects.

The version of Bedroom Posters featuring Good Charlotte was released on January 16, 2026, following the original album release. The combined success of this collaboration highlights a resurgence in interest for both bands in the alternative and rock music scenes.
