AceShowbiz - 50 Cent is facing fresh legal challenges as a former executive has filed serious allegations against the rapper and businessman in a Georgia federal court.
Monique Mayers, who worked with 50 Cent and his affiliated ventures for over ten years, claims she was terminated in 2019 after refusing to participate in illegal activities. The lawsuit asserts that 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, orchestrated a prolonged campaign of retaliation, harassment, and intimidation following her refusal to engage in wrongdoing.
The complaint specifically accuses 50 Cent of pressuring Mayers to commit acts including bankruptcy fraud and making false statements to authorities. Her attorneys emphasize that "Ms. Mayers would not lie to police. She would not frame another person."
After her dismissal, Mayers alleges she was subjected to over 80 threatening phone calls and messages, which the lawsuit describes as a stark warning to protect Jackson's secrets or face severe consequences.
50 Cent's legal representative, Reena Jain, has forcefully denied the claims, calling them baseless and describing the lawsuit as a mere attempt to attract media attention. Jain stated, "We categorically and strenuously deny the baseless allegations."
The lawsuit also mentions Mayers was involved in investigations related to Sire Spirits and faced intimidation during legal procedures connected to those inquiries. Mayers is seeking compensation for emotional distress caused by the alleged harassment and retaliation.
This case adds to the ongoing legal scrutiny surrounding 50 Cent, as the rapper continues to defend himself against these serious accusations in court.
